Job summary

Day Kimball Health is hiring a Unit Receptionist/Patient Care Technician for the Med/Surg Department in Putnam, CT! This position covers evening shifts for 32 hours per week.

As a UR/PCT, you will perform clerical duties, support patient activities, and collaborate with nurses. We seek an individual with a high school diploma, CNA certification or clinical experience. Enjoy a team-oriented workplace and opportunities for personal development.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• CNA certification, or completion of one year of clinical experience required.
• Current AHA Healthcare Provider CPR certification within 3 months of hire required.
• Current NVCIT certification or within 3 months of hire required.
• Experience in clerical or receptionist position preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform clerical duties of the unit and facilitate communication.
• Assist with patient activities under the direction of the nurse.
• Transcribe physician's orders accurately when applicable.
• Assist patients with daily activities as directed by the nurse.
• Meet the physical demands of the position.
