Job summary

HES Facilities Management in Channahon, IL is seeking a Maintenance Technician for 2nd shift to repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical equipment and more. You will follow a maintenance schedule, troubleshoot systems, read blueprints, and document work performed to keep school facilities running smoothly.

The role requires hands-on experience with building systems, the ability to lift heavy loads, and readiness to work 3 PM–11:30 PM, Monday through Friday, in a fast-paced educational environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent combination of education and experience
• THIS IS A 2nd SHIFT POSITION! HOURS ARE MONDAY-FRIDAY 3PM-11:30PM
• Troubleshoot plumbing, electrical and mechanical equipment
• Knowledge of building automation (HVAC and electrical)
• Ability to operate computer software needed to perform the job such as Maintimizer and School Dude or any other required by the Customer and/or Director

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot plumbing, electrical and mechanical equipment
• Inspect drives, motors, belts
• Check fluids levels, replace filters and follow inspection list
• Perform minor plumbing, electrical and carpentry work
• Assist operators with grounds maintenance and equipment maintenance
