Job summary

H Havenwyck Hospital in Auburn Hills, Michigan seeks a Maintenance Specialist for full-time evening shifts (3pm–1:30am), with every third weekend and rotating holidays. The role covers broad maintenance across plant operations and supports staff, patients and visitors.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma and experience in building trades or small machinery repair, plus willingness to participate in safety and training programs within a large healthcare network.

Qualifications

• High School graduate required.
• Experience in building trades preferred.
• Experience in small machinery repair preferred.
• Valid motor vehicle operation record is required.
• Current certification in Non-violent Crisis Intervention preferred.
• Employee must be in good standing for internal transfers.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints and manufacturers specifications.
• requisition equipment and materials for installations and repairs.
• Ensure safety and building regulations are in compliance.
• Assist in orientation and training of plant operations personnel.
• Repair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment.
• Participate in preventative maintenance program.
• Perform lockout/tagout per policy under Director of Plant Operations.
• Perform landscaping duties and snow removal as needed.
• Maintain and repair plumbing, masonry, carpentry, painting, electrical work, refrigeration, and HVAC systems.
• Relieve at switchboard as needed.
• Support security related duties and respond to unit needs for assistance.
