Job summary

US Aggregates is seeking a Maintenance/Laborer to support plant upkeep and daily production. The role involves shoveling, sweeping, and operating equipment to sustain operations, with emphasis on safety and teamwork.

The incumbent will perform preventative maintenance, fueling, lubrication, and basic repairs, while following all safety procedures and reporting concerns to the Plant Manager. Flexibility for day and night shifts is required.

Qualifications

• High School or Equivalent required.
• Must read, write and communicate in English; basic math.
• Strong safety awareness and ability to follow procedures.
• Welding, torching or maintenance skills preferred.
• Team-oriented with ability to work independently as needed.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and service heavy equipment (loaders, skid steers, haul trucks) to keep the plant in production.
• Perform daily upkeep (shoveling, sweeping, housekeeping) and repairs as needed.
• Fuel, oil, grease equipment and follow safety manuals; conduct pre/post shift checks.
• Communicate with management on equipment condition and potential improvements; report safety concerns.
