Job summary

Saint Peter’s Health Care System is seeking a Maintenance Shift Mechanic for evening coverage on a per diem basis. The role focuses on corrective and preventive maintenance across mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems within the facility.

The ideal candidate holds a Black Seal in Low Pressure Boiler Operation, has 3–5 years of related experience, and is capable of lifting up to 50 pounds. Availability for 2nd and 3rd shifts, including weekends, is required.

Qualifications

• Read and comprehend detailed instructions.
• 3–5 years of related maintenance experience.
• Black Seal in Low Pressure Boiler Operation.
• Familiar with chillers and HVAC systems.
• Able to meet deadlines and work safely around live electrical equipment.
• Willing to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Perform corrective and preventive maintenance per work orders.
• Respond to emergency calls within 5 minutes.
• Perform emergency repairs on equipment promptly.
• Maintain expertise with mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and boiler systems.
• Demonstrate knowledge of tools and testing equipment used for tasks.
• Work safely and follow operating procedures.
