Job summary

MacLean-Fogg is hiring a Machine Operator - 2nd Shift at our Mundelein, Illinois facility. You will operate assigned mechanical equipment, verify product quality with precision tools, and make basic adjustments to support safe, efficient production.

The role is on-site with a 2nd shift schedule (Mon-Fri, 4:00 PM–2:30 AM) and pay of $20.09/hour plus a $2.50/hour shift differential. Overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year of experience required.
• Ability to operate machinery safely and effectively.
• Ability to use precision measurement instruments.
• Ability to read and interpret work instructions and blueprints.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Ability to follow written and verbal directions and complete required documentation accurately.

Responsibilities

• Operate assigned mechanical equipment efficiently and safely.
• Inspect produced items to verify quality and specifications.
• Use basic precision measuring instruments to confirm dimensions.
• Perform basic equipment troubleshooting and adjustments.
• Read and interpret blueprints and work instructions.
• Complete first-piece inspections and maintain documentation.
• Follow safety, environmental, and quality policies.
