Job summary

MacLean‑Fogg is seeking a Forming Machine Operator for our Mundelein, Illinois facility. You will learn to operate forming equipment, inspect parts, and support safe, efficient production. Initially on 1st shift for 6–8 months, then transition to 2nd shift with a $2.50/hour differential.

The role is full‑time, on‑site, with 2nd shift hours from 4:00 PM to 2:30 AM after training. Pay ranges from $23.00 to $25.50 per hour, with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and SOPs.
• Basic math and use of simple measuring tools to verify dimensions.
• Willingness to learn manufacturing equipment operation and processes.
• Mechanical aptitude with ability to perform basic adjustments with training.
• Safety‑conscious and able to follow safety procedures.
• Strong attention to detail in product inspection and documentation.
• Good communication of equipment concerns and production needs to supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Operate forming equipment following procedures and production requirements.
• Assist with machine setup, adjustments, and changeovers.
• Load raw materials and maintain proper material flow.
• Perform in‑process inspections using gauges and measuring tools.
• Monitor equipment for abnormalities and report issues.
• Complete production records and scrap reporting accurately.
• Maintain 5S work area and assist with preventive maintenance.
• Participate in training, problem‑solving, and improvement initiatives.
