Job summary

Pratt Industries in Rockwall, TX, is seeking a Machine Operator/Helper to run converting machines, perform setup and cleanup, and suggest operations improvements. Experience with Flexo or similar folding/glue machinery is a plus; training will be provided. OT may be required and full-time hours are 3:30PM–11:30PM.

Responsibilities include die handling, load tag management, and maintaining equipment with adherence to safety policies. Benefits start after one month of hire.

Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing environment is required or preferred.
• Packaging environment experience is preferred.
• Able to read and use a tape measure with speed and accuracy.
• Basic high school level math skills are required.
• Ability to read and follow factory masters/instructions.

Responsibilities

• Set up rails, print, and die-cut section on converting machine per setup techniques.
• Inspect dies before/after runs and ensure necessary repairs.
• Ensure bolts for cutting dies are in place and tight.
• Monitor box quality for liner, warp, size, and print.
• Maximize equipment use by operating at capacity and speed.
• Cross-train on other machines and complete reports (Production Data, Status, Safety, Quality).
• Submit maintenance work orders for repairs and assist in equipment maintenance.
• Follow production schedule and suggest improvements to meet cost/quality/service goals.
