Job summary

New Flyer is seeking a motivated Machine Operator for our 2nd shift to join our manufacturing team. You will operate and maintain machinery to produce high-quality transit bus components, ensuring production goals are met while adhering to safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a machine operator in manufacturing is preferred.
• Ability to read technical specifications, blueprints and instructions.
• Knowledge of machine operation, setup and maintenance is essential.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Good problem-solving skills in a fast-paced team environment.
• Flexibility to work extended hours and adjust to changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate machinery in accordance with production requirements and safety guidelines.
• Monitor equipment during operation to ensure efficiency and quality of production.
• Perform routine checks and preventive maintenance on machines.
• Conduct quality inspections of finished products and document findings.
• Collaborate with team members to improve processes and troubleshoot any issues.
