Job summary

New Flyer is seeking a motivated Machine Operator for the 2nd shift to join our manufacturing team, operating and maintaining machinery to produce quality components for transit buses. Shift: 4:00 PM - 2:30 AM, Monday to Thursday.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a machine operator in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Ability to understand technical specifications, blueprints, and instructions.
• Knowledge of machine operation, setup, and maintenance is essential.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality assurance.
• Good problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
• Flexibility to work extended hours and adjust to changing production priorities.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate machinery in accordance with production requirements and safety guidelines.
• Monitor equipment during operation to ensure efficiency and quality of production.
• Perform routine checks and preventive maintenance on machines.
• Conduct quality inspections of finished products and document findings.
• Collaborate with team members to improve processes and troubleshoot issues.
