Job summary

Front Porch Communities and Services in Chula Vista, CA, is hiring a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) for a part-time evening shift (Friday and Saturday, 2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.).

You will supervise CNAs and provide quality resident care, coordinate assessments and care plans, administer medications, and ensure safety and compliance with state and federal regulations. Qualifications

• Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) licensure in California.
• Vocational School Certification or an Associate’s degree.
• Knowledge of State and Federal regulations governing nursing care.
• Previous long-term care, geriatric and/or rehabilitative nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality patient care and supervise CNAs/nurses aides.
• Coordinate resident assessments and plan of care evaluations.
• Administer medications and nursing interventions as ordered.
• Maintain documentation per Federal and State regulations and company policy.
• Maintain inventory of medical supplies and medications.
• Follow safety protocols and use required PPE.
• Attend mandatory in-service meetings and follow all policies.
