Job summary

MercyOne Centerville Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for part-time evening shifts (2pm-10:30pm) to provide direct patient care and ensure patient safety and well-being within a rural hospital setting.

The RN will assess residents, implement plans of care, and collaborate with the healthcare team while upholding Mercy’s mission of reverence, integrity, compassion, and excellence. Current Iowa RN license and BLS are required.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Iowa.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers.
• Dependent Adult Mandatory Reporter training within 30 days of hire and recertification every 5 years.
• Education requirements for license renewal.

Responsibilities

• Utilize nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, interventions, and evaluation.
• Execute physician-prescribed regimen within nursing practice guidelines.
• Perform and supervise activities appropriate for a licensed practical nurse when applicable.
• Provide leadership and direction in supervision of others in nursing care.
• Utilize nursing process for patient assessment, planning, and interventions.
• Execute physician-prescribed regimen within guidelines.
• Perform and supervise activities appropriate for a registered nurse; seek supervision when beyond scope.
• Provide leadership and direction in supervising the nursing process.
