Job summary

Care Initiatives seeks a Charge Nurse - Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide comprehensive, compassionate nursing care in a busy skilled nursing setting in Iowa.

You will lead the unit, supervise nursing staff, and coordinate care with physicians and families while adhering to state and federal regulations. A valid Iowa LPN license and CPR are required; supervisory coursework or readiness to obtain within 90 days is essential.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid LPN license in Iowa and CPR certification.
• Completion of State-approved LPN Supervisory Course or ability to obtain within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Conduct ongoing assessments of residents' clinical status and contribute to care plans.
• Deliver and oversee direct nursing care including wound care and IV therapy where allowed.
• Administer medications and document accurately per orders.
• Serve as unit clinical leader and coordinate resident care with physicians and families.
• Supervise CNAs and support staff to promote high-quality resident care.
