Job summary

Maersk in Savannah, GA seeks a Dispatcher for second shift (Mon-Fri 2:30pm–10:30pm). You will schedule drivers to fulfill deliveries and pickups, act as the liaison between customers, drivers and management, and plan efficient routes while monitoring timetables and compliance.

The role requires 2–3 years of freight dispatching experience, strong time management, and solid knowledge of traffic laws. Competitive benefits and a detailed pay range are provided.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of freight dispatching experience.
• Knowledge of local and state traffic regulations is required.
• Ability to coordinate with drivers, customers, and management.

Responsibilities

• Schedule drivers for deliveries and pickups.
• Communicate freight details and special requests with customers/vendors.
• Plan predetermined routes for drivers.
• Identify traffic issues and create corrective action plans.
• Prepare dispatch documents for management and per diems.
• Maintain records of dispatch calls and driver routes.
• Monitor truck maintenance schedules.
• Log vendor complaints and concerns.
• Answer calls from vendors, customers, and management.
• Perform other duties as needed.
