Job summary

Mariner Sands is seeking a dedicated line cook to join our culinary team. The line cook prepares and cooks meals under the direction of the Executive Chef or Sous Chefs, with flexibility for banquet lines or anchor stations.

This full-time, non-exempt role requires proven cooking experience, ServSafe certification, and the ability to work primarily evening shifts. Join a team focused on quality, efficiency, and professional standards in a dynamic dining environment.

Qualifications

• Proven cooking experience including line cook, restaurant cook, or prep cook.
• Strong knowledge of cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures.
• Accurate and fast in executing assigned tasks.
• ServSafe (or equivalent) certified.
• Open availability, mostly p.m. shifts.

Responsibilities

• Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies.
• Prepare food and plate dishes according to menu specifications.
• Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff.
• Answer, report and follow executive or sous chef’s instructions.
• Clean up station and take care of leftover food.
• Stock inventory appropriately.
• Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion.
• Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards.
• Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and Members.
