Job summary

Hilton Garden Inn, Ft. Washington, PA is seeking a PM Cook to prepare and cook dinner service items, maintaining high standards of quality, presentation, cleanliness, and food safety.

You will work closely with the kitchen team to ensure orders are prepared accurately and efficiently during dinner service. Responsibilities include setting up stations, preparing ingredients, cooking to proper temperatures, and keeping a sanitary, efficient workstation during peak hours.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant or line-cook experience preferred.
• Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and food safety practices.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift kitchen supplies.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a team.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays as required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items according to restaurant recipes and standards.
• Set up and stock the kitchen and cooking stations before service.
• Prepare ingredients, sauces, proteins, vegetables, and other food items as needed.
• Cook food to proper temperatures and ensure consistent quality and portions.
• Maintain an organized, clean, and sanitary workstation throughout the shift.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department requirements.
• Monitor food levels and communicate with kitchen manager when supplies need replenishing.
• Properly store, label, and date food products.
• Assist with closing duties, including cleaning equipment and storing food.
• Work efficiently during dinner periods and maintain a positive, professional attitude.
• Follow instructions from Chef, Kitchen Manager, or other supervisors.
• Help with other kitchen duties as needed.
