Job summary

The University of Nevada, Las Vegas invites applications for the REVISED Security Officer, UNLV University Libraries. The Safety Operations Supervisor oversees evening operations, supervises up to 10 student employees, and ensures safety and loss prevention for the Lied Library and branches.

Reporting to the Service Excellence and Safety Manager, the role requires strong customer service, adherence to university policies, and the ability to coordinate evacuations and emergencies during evening

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and two years of experience in public contact work.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Oversee safety and loss prevention for University Libraries.
• Supervise up to 10 safety student employees and coordinate evacuations.
• Inspect library facilities, monitor safety, assist visitors, and enforce policies.
• Provide emergency communications and liaise with law enforcement as needed.
