Allied Universal in Las Vegas, NV is seeking an Armed Security Officer for the weekend day shift at a public library environment. This part-time role requires carrying out armed security procedures, providing professional customer service, and maintaining a safe, welcoming site.

Possess at least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
Possess an Armed Guard Card or license.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Background check and drug screen required by employer.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to patrons, visitors, and staff at a public library location while carrying out armed security procedures and emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout library buildings, parking areas, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner and follow post orders and procedures.
Monitor access points and observe activity, reporting hazards and maintenance concerns to staff.
Prepare clear incident and patrol reports and coordinate with law enforcement or emergency responders when appropriate.
