Job summary

NewYork-Presbyterian's Allen Hospital in Upper Manhattan is seeking an experienced Section Chief Laboratory Technologist for the Evening shift (4:00 pm - 12:00 am). You will oversee routine and complex tests across Hematology, Chemistry, Microbiology, and Blood Bank, serving as a lead to other technologists and ensuring quality control.

This full-time role requires NYS licensure and 4 years of clinical lab experience, with ASCP certification preferred.

Qualifications

• ASCP certification (Blood Bank, coagulation and urinalysis experience preferred)
• Minimum 4 years of clinical laboratory experience or 2 years with a Master's or 1 year with MD/DO in related field
• New York State CLT licensure required

Responsibilities

• Lead laboratory technologists and troubleshoot instruments
• Perform tests across Hematology, Chemistry, Microbiology and Blood Bank
• Calibrate and maintain lab instrumentation; perform QC procedures
• Research and establish new procedures to improve lab operations
