Job summary

MCCORMICK JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL in Cheyenne, Wyoming seeks a Head Custodian to lead custodial operations. Evening hours with night differential are provided along with benefits.

The position requires a High School diploma or equivalent, and preferred experience in supervision or facilities maintenance, with a background check. Starting date is immediate.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 6 months of custodial experience preferred.
• Criminal background check required for hire.
• Ability to supervise and train custodial staff preferred.
• Attention to detail and safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and inspects facilities to maintain a safe, sanitary environment.
• Supervises custodial staff; plans, schedules, and evaluates performance.
• Coordinates daily activities with administration and custodial supervisor.
• Monitors building systems and responds to safety/operational concerns after hours.
• Preps school for events; orders supplies and maintains equipment.
• Develops staff safety awareness and professional trade skills.
