Job summary

Heritage Villa is hiring a Laundry Assistant for evening shifts (2:30p–10:30p) with weekend doubles as needed. The role includes loading and processing laundry, maintaining sanitation, and following infection control procedures to protect residents and staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 1 year of experience preferred.
• Must communicate in English with staff and families.
• Able to stand and walk for long periods; able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Basic computer skills and ability to use a phone/computer.
• Follow infection control procedures and safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Loads articles into washer and dryer.
• Soaks contaminated articles as per policy.
• Sort dried articles according to identification numbers and type; fold and place items into appropriate bins.
• Lubricate machines.
• Mends torn articles; count articles to verify quantities.
• Iron required items.
• Read and understand equipment operation manuals; perform duties safely.
• Maintain sanitation and quality standards and follow written and oral instructions.
• Assist with other duties as assigned.
