Job summary

Shaw Industries Group, Inc. is seeking a Finishing Operator Assistant to support latex application on carpet products. The role includes relieving Coater and Froth Operators, maintaining the precoat area, and ensuring quality control through regular weight checks.

The candidate will work Monday–Friday 3pm–11pm, with requirements to handle 12-hour shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed, while adhering to safety protocols and attendance policies.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and follow process specs and guidelines.
• Reliable attendance and ability to work 12-hour shifts.
• Must be able to work weekends and holidays as needed.
• Safety-focused with ability to use required PPE.

Responsibilities

• Apply latex to carpet using precoat and adhesive systems.
• Maintain correct settings for each carpet style per spec sheet.
• Enter settings into Latex Control System and verify with gauges.
• Relieve Coater and Froth Operators during breaks as required.
• Perform weight checks and document results as directed by supervisor.
