Job summary

Shaw Industries in Dalton, GA seeks a dependable Finishing Operator Assistant to support latex application and line operations on the 3pm–11pm shift. You will assist the coater and froth operators and help maintain quality throughout the process.

This role requires following safety rules, logging cupweight and viscosity checks, and helping with precoat duties and weight checks as directed. Training lasts three weeks.

Responsibilities

• Maintain correct latex application and monitor coating quality on the line.
• Assist coater operator and froth operator during breaks and absences.
• Relieve coater/froth operators and perform their duties as required.
• Conduct secondary weight checks and record results per shift.
• Operate Latex Control System and assist with setup for each style change.
• Log cupweight and viscosity checks four times per shift and per supervisor request.
