Job summary

Shaw Industries is seeking a Finishing Operator Assistant to support latex application on carpet segments during a Monday–Friday schedule. The role requires coordination with coater and froth operators, ensuring correct setup at the latex control system and maintaining precoat areas.

The position involves performing duties across latex application, checking cupweight/viscosity, and assisting with secondary tasks. Training is provided; must work 12-hour shifts and weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to operate Latex Control System.
• Read and write legibly.
• Must be able to work 12-hour shifts.
• On-the-job training provided (3 weeks).

Responsibilities

• Apply latex to carpet accurately per specs.
• Maintain pre-coat area and pump/blender operation.
• Relieve coater and froth operators during breaks.
• Log cupweight and viscosity checks; report issues.
