Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Specimen Accessioner/Processor to join our Specimen Processing and Accessioning team in Troy, MI. The role entails preparing and labeling specimens, routing them to staging areas, and entering patient data accurately.

The position requires a High School Diploma and prefers 1 year in a medical or production setting, with a 6:00pm–2:30am weekday schedule and rotating weekends.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year or more experience in a medical or production environment preferred.
• Strong data entry and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a team and maintain accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing.
• Unpack and route specimens to staging areas.
• Identify and label specimens accurately.
• Pack and ship specimens to testing facilities.
• Meet department activity and production goals.
• Prepare and store excess specimen samples.
• Data entry of patient information accurately.
• Resolve and document any problem specimens.
