Job summary

Labcorp in Sunrise, FL seeks a Specimen Processor I to join our team. The role focuses on accessioning, sorting and accurate data entry within a fast-paced diagnostic lab.

You will prepare specimens, label and route items, and assist with shipping to testing facilities while contributing to daily production goals. The position requires attention to detail and teamwork in a laboratory setting.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 1 year or more experience in lab, accessioning, production, manufacturing, or warehouse.
• Comfortable handling biological specimens and ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Pass a standardized color blindness test.

Responsibilities

• Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing
• Unpack and route specimens to their respective staging areas
• Accurately identify and label specimens
• Pack and ship specimens to proper testing facilities
• Meet department activity and production goals
• Properly prepare and store excess specimen samples
• Data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Resolve and document any problem specimens
