Job summary

Labcorp in New Hartford, NY is hiring a Specimen Processor I to join our fast-paced, high-throughput team. You will prepare specimens, route and label them, and perform accessioning and data entry according to SOPs. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma and 1+ year lab or production experience; familiarity with MS Office is a plus.

Pay ranges from $17.75 to $19.00 per hour with comprehensive benefits. Shifts: Monday–Friday 4:00 pm–12:30 am, plus rotating Saturdays.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1+ years relative experience in lab, accessioning, production, or warehouse is preferred.
• Proficient data entry and ability to use MS Office are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing.
• Unpack and route specimens to staging areas.
• Identify and label specimens accurately.
• Pack and ship specimens to testing facilities.
• Meet department activity and production goals.
• Prepare and store excess specimen samples.
• Data entry of patient information in a timely manner.
• Resolve and document problem specimens.
