Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a medical laboratory environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares specimens for testing, manages containers, and verifies patient identifiers on samples and test forms.
• Enters data into the laboratory information system and ensures correct specimen labeling.
• Prepares aliquots and delivers specimens for testing.
• Centrifuges and disposes of specimens.
• Resolves and documents problems related to specimen samples, collection, and processing.
• Requests and orders supplies to keep materials on hand.
• Handles and disposes of medical and chemical waste.
