Job summary

BayCare Health System in New Port Richey, FL seeks a Lab Medical Assistant II / Phlebotomy role for Morton Plant North Bay Hospital. This PRN position supports inpatient and outpatient testing with phlebotomy duties across a hospital lab setting.

Qualifications

• 6 months phlebotomy, laboratory related experience or related field required.
• High School diploma or equivalent; or Bachelor’s degree in a related field in lieu of experience.
• Driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Collect, receive and process inpatient and outpatient specimens for testing.
• Communicate with nursing regarding patient specimens.
• Refer specimens to outside laboratories.
• Interact with physicians, clients and staff regarding referral lab tests.
• Perform phlebotomy procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
