Job summary

Labcorp in RTP, NC is seeking a Lab Assistant to join our team. The shift is Tuesday through Saturday, 11:00 am to 7:30 pm, supporting specimen handling and testing workflows in a clinical lab environment.

You will receive and sort specimens, prepare them for testing, enter data, keep equipment aligned, and maintain a safe, organized workspace. A high school diploma or GED is required, with preferred experience in specimen processing or medical/lab settings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3 months or more of specimen processing experience preferred.
• 3 months or more of medical or laboratory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive and sort clinical lab specimens
• Prepare specimens for testing and analysis
• Scan and data entry of specimen and patient information
• Ensure lab equipment is working and perform minor instrumentation maintenance
• Troubleshoot any specimen related issues
• Replenish test bench supplies as needed
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Complete record logs and other administrative duties as requested
• Follow all Standard Operating Procedures to ensure safety and quality standards
