Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Lab Assistant to join our RTP, NC team. The role involves receiving and sorting clinical lab specimens, preparing them for testing, and performing data entry and record-keeping to ensure accuracy and turnaround times.

You'll work Tuesday-Saturday 11:00am-7:30pm in a fast-paced production environment, following SOPs and maintaining a clean, safe workspace. Basic computer skills and teamwork are essential for success in this role at Labcorp.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Preferred: 3 months+ specimen processing experience.
• Preferred: 3 months+ medical or laboratory experience.

Responsibilities

• Receive and sort clinical lab specimens.
• Prepare specimens for testing and analysis.
• Scan and/or data entry of specimen and patient information.
• Ensure all lab equipment is working properly and perform minor instrumentation maintenance.
• Troubleshoot specimen related issues.
• Replenish test bench supplies as needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Complete record logs and other administrative duties as requested.
• Follow all Standard Operating Procedures to ensure safety and quality standards.
