The position supports 24/7 operations and requires flexible scheduling and reliable contact. Responsibilities include obtaining registrations, explaining policies to patients, processing orders, and distributing lab reports.

Qualifications

• High school graduate required.
• Associates preferred.
• Well-developed communication skills, both written and oral.
• Able to communicate effectively with individuals and groups representing diverse perspectives.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• Phlebotomy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtains registration information from patients and patient signatures as outlined according to procedure.
• Explains health care policies and procedures to patients.
• Obtains and interprets physician orders and diagnoses and performs the clerical functions related to ordering of ancillary services.
• Distribute laboratory reports and retrieve patient results.
