Trinity Health Michigan is seeking a part-time Lab Assistant to perform clerical and phlebotomy tasks, register patients, and manage billing-related duties. The role supports 24/7 operations with an evening shift, contributing to a comprehensive patient care workflow.

Responsibilities include obtaining patient information, explaining policies, handling orders, and distributing reports while maintaining logs, inventories, and billing reconciliations in a hospital setting.

Competenze

• High school graduate required; Associates preferred.
• Well-developed communication skills, both written and oral.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• Phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Department operation provides 24-hour coverage, 365 days per year; may require variety of shifts and days.

Mansioni

• Obtains registration information from patients and patient signatures as outlined according to procedure.
• Explains health care policies and procedures to patients.
• Obtains and interprets physician orders and diagnoses and performs the clerical functions related to ordering of ancillary services.
• Distributes laboratory reports and retrieves patient results.
