Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Incorporated in Lewisville, TX is hiring a Lab Assistant II for the Tuesday–Saturday shift from 12:00 PM to 8:30 PM. The role performs routine lab functions to support laboratory professionals and ensure accurate results.

Pay starts at $17.20 per hour with potential shift differential for second and third shifts, plus eligible annual bonus potential. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with company match, and education assistance.

Qualifications

• One year of full-time experience in a technical or clinical laboratory.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds with assistance.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Laboratory Information Systems (LIS).

Responsibilities

• Perform specimen receiving, labeling, handling and preparation.
• Assist with pre-analytical preparation of specimens and data entry.
• Record digital temperature and notify licensed personnel if temperature is out of range.
• Perform routine instrument maintenance on some equipment.
• Prepare chemicals, reagents and solutions.
• Maintain organized work area and equipment.
• Enter data in LIS and perform QA/QC duties.
• Complete training and comply with safety policies.
• Other duties as assigned.
