Responsibilities

• Promotes patient satisfaction and customer service values with all staff.
• Treats patients with respect and care.
• Instructs coworkers to treat patients and hospital staff courteously.
• Assists with patient tests using manual methods or automated lab equipment.
• Prepares histological, microbiological, and clinical specimens as directed.
• Enters test orders per established procedures and supports quality control processes.
• Participates in continuing education, in-services and lab meetings.
• Maintains a safe work environment and handles biohazardous materials per protocol.
• Participates in inventory and supply ordering and data entry tasks.
