Data-Center-Inc is seeking an Item Processing Specialist in Hutchinson, KS. You will help maintain accurate item processing for local community banks, balancing items and ensuring timely, quality service.

The role requires precision, reliability, and strong data-entry skills, with a typical 4pm-1am CST shift, Monday through Friday, at the Hutchinson operations building. You will collaborate with teammates to resolve inquiries and improve processes.

Qualifications

• Proficient data entry with accuracy and speed.
• Strong attention to detail and error detection.

• Good finger dexterity and manual skill for 10-key use.
• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Process and balance NSF items.
• Transmit electronic return files to Fed or other institutions.
• Create IRD items using imaging applications and manage statement printing workflows.
• Respond promptly to client inquiries and issues.
• Balance grouped items across multiple capture methods.
• Perform MICR encoding, reject reentry, and verify duplicates.
• Support quality control and continuous improvement.
• Provide backup support to Item Processing and Balance Room functions.
• Generate and process customer statements using the AFS system and match reports by bank.
• Prepare day and evening balancing reports for community banks.
