Job summary

DCI in Hutchinson, KS is seeking an Item Processing Specialist to join our Item Processing department. You will maintain accuracy and integrity of client item processing, helping local community banks deliver big-bank services.

The role runs 4pm-1am CST, Monday–Friday, in our Hutchinson operations building. You’ll balance NSF items, handle imaging tasks, respond to client inquiries, and support daily processing with strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Basic data-entry speed and accuracy are required.
• Strong attention to visual details and error detection.
• Proficient with computers and a 10-key keypad.

Responsibilities

• Process and balance NSF items.
• Transmit electronic return files to Federal Reserve or other institutions.
• Use imaging applications to create IRD items and manage statement printing workflows.
• Provide timely responses to client inquiries and issues.
• Balance grouped items across Teller, ATM, Merchant and Mobile channels.
• Perform MICR encoding, reject reentry, and verify duplicates.
• Ensure quality control and support process improvements.
• Provide backup support to Item Processing and Balance Room functions.
• Generate and process customer statements and match reports for accurate distribution.
