Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a full-time hotel maintenance engineer in Michigan, working an evening shift 3:00PM-11:30PM with rotating weekends. The role requires prior hotel engineering experience in HVAC, electrical, plumbing and commercial kitchen systems, plus vocational training or certification.

Qualifications

Previous hotel engineering experience required, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and kitchen equipment.
Vocational training or certification in relevant trades.
Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.

Responsibilities

Operate central HVAC and mechanical equipment safely using engineering practices and procedures.
Repair and maintain food production, kitchen, laundry, ice machines, boilers, and plumbing and electrical systems.
Troubleshoot electrical and pneumatic problems to resolve them cost-effectively.
Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on an ongoing basis.
Stand and walk for long periods; lift 10-25 pounds as needed.
