Job summary

Waymore's Guest House in East Nashville seeks a maintenance technician to manage building systems, energy efficiency and preventative maintenance. The role supports safety, code compliance and guest satisfaction in a boutique hotel environment.

The position requires experience in building trades (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry), and offers a 2nd shift from 3:30 PM to 12:00 AM with competitive compensation and benefits through HEI Hotels & Resorts.

Qualifications

• Vocational schooling, military training, certification and/or experience in building trades such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing or carpentry.
• Hotel experience preferred.
• Second Shift: 3:30 PM - 12:00 AM.
• Must be able to lift 25–50 lbs with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills; ability to adapt to different audiences.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preventative maintenance and complete work orders to maintain hotel quality.
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on guestrooms and facilities.
• Inspect electrical systems and perform minor repairs or replacements.
• Repair or replace hotel equipment including HVAC, plumbing, and kitchen gear.
• Service pool and maintain chemical levels and logs.
• Maintain exterior upkeep and curb appeal (snow removal, lawn care, painting).
• Refurbish furniture/fixtures in guest rooms and move items as needed.
• Respond courteously to guest questions, complaints, and requests.
