Qualifications

• Minimum two years of experience in hotels, restaurants or related fields.
• Prior Line Cook, Quick Order Cook, Banquet Cook or similar experience preferred.
• Certifications as required by Federal, State, or Local agencies.
• Minimum High school diploma, GED or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Set up, stock and organize workstation for production of food items.
• Prepares food items according to menu standards, portions and stores them in properly labeled containers.
• Uses kitchen tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
• Checks stock levels in coolers, reports shortages and orders as needed using FIFO.
• Cooks broiled, baked, grilled, steamed, sauteed, blended and fried items according to recipes.
• Plates food according to standard plating with garnishments and quantities.
• Performs cleaning, inventory and organizing duties.
• Works well under pressure and maintains composure.
