Job summary

San Ramon Regional Medical Center is seeking a Stationary Engineer to maintain hospital equipment and building systems during evening shifts. Responsibilities include servicing electrical distribution, generators, ATSs, elevators, HVAC systems, boilers, plumbing, and medical gas systems.

Prior hospital experience is preferred, with emphasis on safety and reliability. The role requires high school diploma, technical training, and California driver license.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years of recent hospital experience as a Stationary Engineer or higher skill level.
• Combination of education and experience that would provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities of a Stationary Engineer.
• Apprentice or journey-level proficiency in HVAC, plumbing and electrical strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and service hospital equipment and systems including electrical distribution, emergency generators, ATSs, elevators, HVAC (chillers/cooling towers), boilers and steam systems, plumbing, water pumps, medical and compressed air systems, ice and refrigeration equipment, and painting.
• Perform preventative maintenance according to manufacturer recommendations and complete work orders as assigned by the Senior Stationary Engineer.
