Job summary

Brown University Health is seeking a Room Service Host at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence, to ensure timely and courteous distribution of menus, collect meal choices, and deliver patient trays and snacks. The role requires coordinating with nursing staff on diet orders and using the CBORD Room Service system foraccurate entries.

The position operates Wednesdays through Saturdays from 4pm to 8pm, with a day shift, and involves standing, lifting up to 35 lbs, and working in a hospital

Qualifications

• Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
• Strong interpersonal communication and customer service skills.
• Experience in food service or customer service is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Distribute menus to new admissions and obtain meal choices.
• Enter meal selections into CBORD Room Service tablet system accurately.
• Deliver patient nourishments, snacks and tube feeding products and assist with special dietary requests.
• Maintain clean and sanitary work environment and handle waste/disposal per policy.
• Communicate with nursing staff regarding patients’ diet and meal delivery.
