Job summary

Texas Orthopedic Hospital is seeking a Floor Technician to perform flooring care across patient and non-patient areas. The role requires operating vacuums, burnishers, scrubbers, wet vacs, and carpet extractors while maintaining clean, safe floors per schedule.

Responsibilities include proper chemical handling, infection control, and reporting equipment issues promptly. The position includes rotating weekends with hours 4:00pm–12:30am.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1+ years’ experience in care and maintenance of resilient floors preferred.

Responsibilities

• Care for floor surfaces (resilient flooring and carpet) throughout the hospital.
• Operate floor equipment and maintain daily, weekly, monthly schedules.
• Apply floor finish, perform burnishing and stripping as needed.
• Follow infection control policies and proper PPE use.
• Ensure wet floor signage and hazard warnings are in place.
