Job summary

Holy Cross Health in Silver Spring, MD is seeking an Environmental Care Technician for the Evening shift (3:00 pm - 11:30 pm) with every other weekend rotation. This role performs housekeeping in the hospital's Environmental Services Department, ensuring clean and safe spaces for patients, visitors, and staff.

You will work under the Assistant Director of Environmental Services or Housekeeping Supervisor, following cleaning procedures and using department equipment.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience: Some on-the-job experience as a housekeeper in Healthcare, Hotel, or Commercial cleaning preferred.
• Knowledge: Ability to read and comprehend instructions in writing and orally.
• Skills: Ability to read and write information in English regarding Duty list, Instructional information, and policies and procedures. Ability to use alphanumeric pager and telephone. Able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Perform housekeeping duties for the hospital's Environmental Services Department.
• Be assigned to work with Assistant Director of Environmental Services or the Housekeeping Supervisor on a regular basis.
• Responsible for timely, courteous, and competent services rendered in a safe manner for patients, visitors, and hospital staff.
