Job summary

WellSpan Health is seeking a dedicated Environmental Services Team Member to perform general cleaning tasks across patient rooms, offices, hallways and hospital areas. The role is full-time, 2nd shift (3:00 pm–11:30 pm) with 80 hours biweekly, including weekend and holiday rotation, and on-call availability 6–8 weekends per year.

Starting pay is $18.00 per hour plus experience-based pay. The position emphasizes infection control, safe lifting, and teamwork to support a clean, safe patient

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, understand and speak English at a level that enables the individual to perform the functions of the job satisfactorily.
• Less than 1 year relevant experience required.

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of general cleaning tasks to maintain offices, hallways, and other assigned areas.
• Cleans and disinfects all fixtures, floors, mirrors, windows, doors, and walls of bathrooms.
• Dusts furniture and equipment; mops floors; polishes and cleans fixtures in utility rooms and bathrooms.
• Gathers and disposes of trash and waste materials; removes soiled linens as needed.
• IF ASSIGNED TO A PATIENT CARE UNIT: perform terminal cleaning procedures of patient rooms and prepare room for new occupant; follow isolation procedures.
• IF ASSIGNED TO A PATIENT CARE UNIT: respond to call lights; maintain orderliness and cleanliness of patient areas.
