Qualifications

• Education: High School level or equivalent preferred.
• Experience: Six months in acute care hospital, skilled nursing or rehab facility preferred; or twelve months as janitor in office/commercial setting acceptable.
• Prerequisite Skills: Ability to understand and follow instructions; organize tasks; work cooperatively; flexible attitude.

Responsibilities

• Dust mop floors using treated dust cloths; dust surfaces and fixtures.
• Wet mop floors with hospital disinfectants; vacuum carpets in assigned areas.
• Spot clean walls, windows, doors; polish metal surfaces.
• Restock paper products and supplies daily; manage trash and linen as assigned.
• Disinfect fixtures, beds, and furnishings; adhere to isolation cleaning procedures.
• Maintain and organize cleaning tools and storage areas; comply with safety standards.
