Northwest Medical Center in Tucson, AZ is seeking a full-time Environmental Services Worker I to support our Housekeeping department. Evening shift: 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm with weekend/holiday rotation. The role helps create a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients, staff, and visitors.

The Environmental Service Worker I performs cleaning, floor care, and waste management while upholding infection control and HIPAA protocols. Competitive pay and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of cleaning or environmental service experience preferred.
• Knowledge of cleaning products and infection control standards.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely and effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
• Excellent communication with staff, patients, and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and sanitizes rooms, hallways, lobbies, restrooms, and other spaces per infection control standards.
• Sweeps, mops, vacuums, and dusts floors and furnishings.
• Maintains floors and surfaces; performs basic upkeep per procedures.
• Washes walls, windows, and other surfaces to maintain cleanliness.
• Restocks supplies and reports shortages to ensure availability.
• Handles trash and hazardous materials safely per safety protocols.
• Operates and maintains cleaning equipment; reports malfunctions.
• Assists with minor repairs and notifies larger facility issues.
• Performs additional duties as assigned; maintains attendance and compliance.
