Pullman Regional Hospital is seeking an Environmental Services Worker to ensure cleanliness and sanitation across our hospital facilities, with attention to detail and the ability to work independently.

The position offers a full-time evening schedule, 2:30-11pm, five days per week; days may vary and shifts discussed during interview. This role supports infection prevention and patient comfort in a safe, professional environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming floors, corridors, and patient rooms.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, sinks, and floors, ensuring they are stocked with necessary supplies.
• Dispose of trash and medical waste in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
• Clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces such as door handles, light switches, and handrails.
• Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies as needed.
• Follow proper infection control protocols to prevent the spread of germs and pathogens.
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to appropriate personnel.
• Assist with special cleaning projects as assigned, such as floor waxing, carpet shampooing, and deep cleaning.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times when interacting with patients, families, and hospital staff.
