Job summary

Northwest Sahuarita Hospital is seeking a PRN Environmental Services Worker I to support our Housekeeping department. The role covers cleaning, floor care, and waste management in assigned areas, with emphasis on infection control and safety for patients, staff, and visitors.

You will ensure cleanliness across rooms, hallways, restrooms, lobbies, and common areas while adhering to HIPAA and facility protocols.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, and products.
• Understanding of infection control and safety standards.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment effectively and safely.
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and sanitizes assigned areas, including rooms, hallways, lobbies, restrooms, elevators, stairways, locker rooms, and other workspaces.
• Sweeps, mops, vacuums, and dusts floors, furniture, and equipment.
• Maintains floors and surfaces through stripping, refinishing, and treating as per procedures.
• Washes walls, ceilings, windows, woodwork, and doors to maintain cleanliness.
• Restocks supplies and reports shortages to ensure availability.
• Handles trash and biohazardous materials safely per safety protocols.
• Operates and maintains cleaning equipment and reports malfunctions.
• Assists with minor repairs or maintenance tasks and reports larger issues.
• Performs other duties as assigned and maintains regular attendance.
