Community Health Systems, Inc. seeks an Environmental Services Worker I for Northwest Sahuarita Hospital in Sahuarita, AZ. This full-time EVS position supports housekeeping duties on a day shift (7:00 am to 3:30 pm) with alternating weekends and holidays.

The role emphasizes cleanliness, infection control, and patient and staff safety. The successful candidate will perform cleaning, floor care, waste management, and sanitation tasks while adhering to HIPAA and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of cleaning or environmental service experience preferred.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, and products.
• Understanding of infection control and safety standards.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment effectively and safely.
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and sanitizes assigned areas including rooms, hallways, lobbies, restrooms, and other workspaces, adhering to infection control standards.
• Washes and maintains floors and surfaces; uses appropriate tools and techniques.
• Restocks supplies and monitors inventory levels; reports shortages.
• Handles trash and biohazardous materials following safety and HIPAA protocols.
• Operates and maintains cleaning equipment and reports malfunctions; assists with minor repairs.
• Maintains regular attendance and complies with all policies.
